Born in Berlin to a Bolivian father and German mother. A few early childhood years in Hanoi.

Mireya studied Screenwriting at the German Film and Television Academy (DFFB). In 2019 she was awarded Best Screenplay for her first feature film script LOST LUGGAGE by the German Ministry for Culture & Media. Her feature film script WEST OF HANOI was nominated for the prestigious First Steps Award in 2020.

With her short film DADDY, COMPLEX  Mireya is now entering new territory as a director while still being primarily focused on her love for writing. She writes in both English & German and likes to work across borders and cultures.

Geboren in Berlin als Tochter einer Deutschen und eines Bolivianers. Ein paar frühe Kindheitsjahre in Hanoi. Nach einem Studium Film mit Schwerpunkt Regie, Setarbeit bei Filmproduktionen von Tom Tykwer. 2016 bis 2020 Drehbuchstudium an der Deutschen Film-und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB).  2018 Gründung Kollektiv Fremdstoff.

Für ihren ersten Langfilm LOST LUGGAGE wurde sie 2019 beim up-and-coming Festival mit dem Deutschen Nachwuchs-Drehbuchpreis ausgezeichnet. Ihr Abschluss-Drehbuch WÜSTE HANOI wurde 2020 für den First Steps Award nominiert.

Mireya schreibt in deutscher und englischer Sprache und entwickelt Serien und Kinofilme mit Schwerpunkt auf transnationalem Geschichtenerzählen.
